About twenty six centuries ago, an Indian prince became fully-enlightened in this world. For forty five years he preached the doctrine of Nibbana, the ultimate liberation for all beings, completely rejecting the God idea, but offering the peaceful way of life based on non-violence, generosity, wisdom and meditation. He was Gotama Buddha and his philosophy prospered in India, China and neighbouring countries. His Teachings of the highest spiritual intelligence are still being studied and followed by more than 380 million people worldwide nowadays. We are presenting his original Teachings of the Past, Present and the Future, i.e., Theravada Buddhism, as practised by 46 million Myanmar (Burmese) people.

"The Religion of the Future"
(Albert Einstein )

The religion of future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend a personal God and avoid dogmas and theology, covering both natural, spiritual. It should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers to this description. (Talk on "Science and Religion", Princeton, New Jersey, U.S.A. 19th May 1939).
